Melanie Mota-Luis is a senior at St. Charles High School. When Melanie obtains some free time, she likes to walk to her best friend's home. She loves listening to 80s music, especially her favorite band The Smiths. Her favorite movie is Pride and Prejudice(2005). Melanie also loves to take candid photos of her friends being barbaric.

Sophomore Karen Romero Medina plays the clarinet in the SCHS Band of Pirates. Thanks to her hard work and dedication, Romero has been nominated Band Member of the Week. Romero has been a part of the band since she started her high school career, but shes played the clarinet since she was in sixth grade. Romeros band mates agree that she deserves the title for Band Member of the Week. She deserves it, shes worked really hard and shes an inspiration to us, freshman, Alizon Mota-Luis said.
