Oh Fall the season of falling leaves covered in hues of oranges, yellows and reds. Gourmand scented candles, a chilly breeze in the air and drizzly rain. But there’s more to Autumn than just good vibes and an abundant amount of Pumpkin spice flavored things. Fall is the season of wool, cashmere and cotton. Fuzzy oversized sweaters, leggings, tights and blue jeans. All paired with a cute pair of leather boots, the very popular Uggs, or maybe even a rain boot for those misty days. 

Here at St. Charles High, the change from Summer to Fall is quite evident. Shorts are exchanged for the very popular red plaid pajama pants and students shuffle into the building bright and early dawning jackets and coats. High schoolers these days are arguably more apt to choose comfort over style but there remains a large number of students who still arrive in their cutest fall outfits. 

Here are some of the very adorable fall outfits at St. Charles High School this Fall. 

Some Students go for a more comfortable and casual look for the day while still remaining stylish : 

Olivia says that she likes her Fall outfits to be both comfy and casual. She usually chooses an outfit with more neutral leaning colors.

When asked what her favorite things to wear for Fall were, Lily Bott responded, “My outfit has to keep me warm so some kind of coat that matches my outfit and I also like wearing pants that are comfortable and cute.”

Kamiah shares that her favorite Fall fashion trend is, “Boots and sweaters and joggers”. She says that she chooses her outfits based on the emotion that she is feeling that day, whether it be happy or edgy.

There are some students though, whose outfits really stand out. Either through fun use of color, texture, layering, or shape.

Mya is wearing a bright red tube top paired with low rise medium wash denim bootcut jeans creating an adorable Autumnal outfit.

The layering Kenzie uses with her sweater and her puffer vest creates a really unique and cute look visually. She pairs it with light wash denim jeans and Ugg slippers. 

Lucy is wearing mid rise dark wash boot cut jeans with a bright orange jacket and Converse. A cute and classic Fall outfit.

Tayonna shares, “I pick out my outfit the night before and I pick out a shirt first and if it’s cute I just go with the flow and try to find something that matches or I go on pinterest.” She says that her favorite fall fashion trend is cardigans and mini skirts and long Ugg boots. 2000’s Hollister is the vibe she’s going for.

St. Charles High is filled with fashion forward students who show up everyday dressed perfectly for the chilly Fall weather. Every student has a uniquely different take on what Fall fashion is to them and how they choose to express themselves through their clothing. Whether it’s a spirit week at school or just a regular day, the students at SCHS know what they’re doing when it comes to dressing for the brisk weather.
