Choir had their annual fundraiser Broadway concert on Saturday, Oct. 11. There were multiple talent show performances during the concert: some groups performed “Hamilton,” others did “Let It Grow” from “The Lorax,” the boys performed their annual song “Men in Tights” and the crowd loved it as usual.
The night started with everyone getting there an hour before the concert to rehearse and getting their outfit change timed correctly. Small groups practiced their songs before the concert just to make sure everything was running. Then everyone took the stage for the opening song, “Another Opening of Another Show.”
Then right after that Ethan Cox, Christian Gustafson, Logan Ruesch and Daniel Waters took the stage with the “King of New York.”
Concert Choir took the stage with “Brotherhood of Man.” There was another performance from Dylan Arnold, Lily Black, Charlie Hendrix, Shavon Kyem, Ashely Schreiber, Penny Stone and Muryn Wallace performing “Let It Grow.”

There were many more performances with groups singing the “Other Side” from the “Greatest Show Man,” “A Girl Worth Fighting For” and many more.
After intermission the Treblemakers took the stage with “Fallin For Ya” and delivered a well-received performance with their outfits and their voices. Their set featured coordinated dance and strong vocal harmonies engaging with the audience through song. They had a strong stage presence and were able to move the crowd with singing and dancing.
Next the Men’s Show Choir performed “Men in Tights” from “Robin Hood,” their set was definitely a crowd pleaser. The boys definitely put their all into the song, when it comes to the performances they gave, the singing, the dancing and even the costumes made the whole thing memorable.

Our very own Choir Director Courtney Gibson joined the students on stage for “I Won’t Grow UP” from Peter Pan. This is an annual performance with the senior class and it’s something they can all look forward to. They spent time practicing and perfecting their dance and gave the audience a show. They were very coordinated with their dance and smiled with enjoyment.

In the final number of the evening, everyone joined the stage to give one big performance in their 90s outfits. It brought a burst of energy into the auditorium as the first few notes of “I’m Still Standing” were played which was famously featured in “Sing. Everybody came together as one with voices united. The stage came alive with color, movements as voices blended in harmony. The audience cheered and clapped along.
