Fellowship Of Christian Athletics (FCA) leaders recently made the decision to move their meetings from after school to before school in an effort to better accommodate students’ busy schedules and increase overall participation. With many students involved in sports and extracurricular activities in the afternoons, the change aims to create a more convenient and engaging environment at the start of the school day.
“It’s just a great way to start your day, going… through slides, having breakfast and everything and it’s just a great way to start your day off,” said sophomore Avery Thro.

Many students have responded positively to the change, noting that mornings provide a more energizing and focused environment compared to afternoons.
“I’m the FCA president and I love the meetings in the mornings because I feel like more people come and they’re more engaged,” said senior Elijah Case.

However, some students also see benefits to the previous after school schedule even if it created conflicts.
“The meetings in the afternoon was also nice because it was something you could look forward to during the day, and it’s also hard though because … people have sports after school,” said freshman Davita Gingras.

Despite mixed opinions, others believe the new schedule ultimately works better for busy students.

“I think it’s great because people have a lot of activities and sports after school so no one’s busy in the morning,” said freshman Meredith Case. “It’s kinda tempting, but I know that I’m there for a reason so that gets me up.”
