St. Charles High’s students will be taking action on and off campus, especially with next school year plays being “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” and the other “Damned Yankees”. Another side note to view are the backbone of said school groups, for example Spencer Coble expressed his positive enthusiasm for the upcoming performances

“I’m excited for it, and think it’ll be fun’,” Coble said. What motivates him to push on through the performances and always give it 100% is the choir’s image. The expectation of new applicants is to further expand on the group’s integrity.

On another note, what musicals would there be without its actors? That is where the playmaking aspect from St. Charles comes into play. From the rehearsals to the vocalization elements, it wouldn’t be too bold to say that it would take one’s all to perform. Freshman Metabel Sanders expressed how much responsibility and effort goes into school projects like these, and there is much more going on behind the scenes.

“Probably that would be remembering lines and making sure that everything is in order, tech week is probably the most stressful thing,” Sanders said.

Another viewpoint to take into account would be the upcoming graduates leaving the drama department, leaving a vacancy to filled. Kevin Conway would expressed his thoughts on this.

“We’re losing a lot of good people, lots of seniors are leaving, it’ll be a sad departure all around,” Conway said.

Taking in account all of the background forces that are in play during events and planning, it really opens the eye, and shows more on how dedicated the staff (students and teachers) are in their craft, and what willingness they are putting into it.
