Thanksgiving is more than just a break from school or a day filled with good food, it’s a chance for students to pause their busy lives and reflect on the little things that might get overlooked. Taking time to be thankful helps students slow down and recognize everything around them.
As SCHS heads into Thanksgiving break, students and staff have taken a moment to look back on various things in their lives that they are grateful for. It’s moments, people, and little everyday things that are extremely special, when we as a community take a step back to reflect on what we are thankful for.
“I’m grateful for Jesus Christ, my family, my friends, everything I’ve been blessed with that I’m privileged to have that others don’t.” senior Jason Razor
“One thing I’m thankful for this year is probably all the new friendships I’ve made, and all the struggles I was able to pass.” freshman Karen Medina Ruiz
“I’m thankful for my family and my friends.” said junior Alex Freeze
“I’m thankful to have all of my boys home this year for Thanksgiving.” school librarian Jane Mulitsch.
“I’m thankful for my friends, family, my dogs, and Thanksgiving break.” senior Eleanor Curtis
