As the school year comes to a wrap up, so in turn do the spring sports. As these sports come to an end, many athletes start their pre-season training throughout the winter. For many this training will continue on into early March to fully prepare themselves for the tough season ahead. Despite this training, and the amazing job all our teams have been doing, they still had some serious competition coming their way with the start of districts and sectionals.
This however does not deter the Pirates whatsoever as they get better and better. The track team specifically have been champions for many meets. The girls and boys varsity teams have excelled in distance and sprints. Along with that, the throwers, jumpers, and pole vaulters have also pushed themselves to become better as time progressed. This hard work didn’t go to waste as the team showed outstanding results, with many people on both the boy’s and girl’s teams qualifying for sectionals.
