Issac Hodge has recently joined the staff as our new computer tech. He arrived at SCHS after previously working at Monroe Elementary.
This means that our former computer tech, Josh Hagler, who previously shared a space in the library with Jane Mulitch is no longer working in the building. He now is at the district’s central office.
Although he has worked in tech formally for just over a year, Hodge has been surrounded by computers his whole life. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science.
“Computers are just very interesting,” he said. “They make everyday life work so quickly and efficiently.”
Adjusting to the larger building has been a notable change. Hodge described the school as “massive” compared to his former school, noting that the increased size has resulted in a busier schedule and more time spent moving between classrooms. Despite this, he reports a positive experience and says staff members have been welcoming.
Hodge has met only limited numbers of teachers so far, primarily the ones with computers, but expects to connect with more as he becomes more familiar with the classroom schedules.
Outside of school, Hodge enjoys video gaming, rock climbing, and traveling. He also shared that he plans to travel to Japan in the near future.
