After some time outside the classroom, Algebra teacher (and former teacher of the year) Breanna Norwine made her return to SCHS as the building’s newest Algebra teacher. In her time away she sold insurance, however her thirst for teaching never quite left.
“I’m very happy to be back,” said Norwine.
The excitement doesn’t only belong to Norwine as her past colleagues rejoice at her return.
“She is absolutely amazing, she works really great with her coworkers and staff members, she keeps us on track, with our courses we share, and she really cares about the kids,” said math teacher Melissa Kohr.
Her past students also celebrate her return to the building.
“She’s one of my favorite math teachers, because she actually makes sure that kids are like understanding their work and they are not goofing around all the time during class,” said senior Rosaisela Cordero-Sanchez.
Norwine’s history at SCHS goes farther back than just her years of teaching here as she was once a student in this very building.
“In my first or second year of teaching I taught her Algebra 2 class” said math teacher Christina Pupillo.
