Jolie H’ is a 17-year-old junior at St. Charles High School. She is an exchange student from Vietnam. H’ has been in St. Charles for three months and is leaving in May 2026. She likes St. Charles and Missouri.
“I like the people and the cultures,” she said. “It’s different.”
A member of H’s host family, junior Miriam Axinte, enjoys H’s company and describes H’ as very friendly and outgoing.
“We are friends, yeah we do things together,” Axinte said.
H’s was also a part of the girls tennis team during the fall. She and the members of the tennis team went out for dinner at a Vietnamese restaurant in September and had a great time. Senior Lauren Murphy was on the team with H’ and enjoys her friendship and will miss tennis with her.
“It was amazing!” Murphy said. “We all loved coming together for Jolie especially since she was new on the team and an exchange student.”
H’s formed close relationships with Murphy as well as the other girls on the tennis team. All of her friends and teachers describe her as outgoing and friendly. H’ always encourages the tennis girls on or off the court.
