Epic Games is the creator of Fortnite. Fortnite is an open world battle royale video game that allows up to four players for squads. There is a creative game mode where players can build like Minecraft with over four players, but the open world battle royale allows up to four for squads. Fortnite was first released on July 7, 2017. It became the hit game for over a year and still is one of the most popular games worldwide. Streamers on Twitch and YouTube get paid to play the game once they hit a certain amount of followers. On YouTube once streamers hit 1k subscribers they will get paid, but on Twitch they need at least 50 followers and they also need over 30 days  total of  500 minutes of broadcast. This means seven unique broadcasts daily and an average of three or more viewers.

The characters introduced in the new chapter include: Agent Jones, Lara Croft, Tarana, Raz, Cluck, Rebirth Raven, and Spire Assassin. All the characters introduced also come along with a variety of different skins. The emotes that are included in the new battle pass are Bean Bag (which players get after doing 24 epic quests), Tower Guard (Built into Spire Assassin character), Azarath Metrion Zinthos, Boots ‘N’ Cats, Dream Stance (Built into Raz), Cardistry, Evasive Maneuvers, and Clean Sweep. This battle pass also comes with 15,000 vbucks.

Vbucks is the in game currency for Fortnite. Fortnite is a free game, but just like Apex Legends, the store in game is very appealing to its players. Epic Games gets most of their money from people buying vbucks or packs that cost real money sometimes. An example of a pack costing real money is the Last Laugh Bundle that is in the Item Shop (in-game store). The Last Laugh Bundle costs $30, but they had a sale in the last week so it is currently $20 for a short period of time. Vbucks in Fortnite is not cheap, but in most games the max money players can spend on in-game currency is $100. For 1,000 vbucks it is $7.99, for 2,800 it is $19.99, for 5,000 vbucks it is $31.99, and for 13,500 vbucks it is $79.99. Fortnite is one of those games that stops before $100. If players buy the vbucks online on the actual game, players will get 12 percent extra for 2,800 vbucks, 25 percent extra for 5,000 vbucks, and 35 percent extra for 13,500 vbucks.

Every battle pass comes with quests to do for leveling up faster. There are epic, legendary, uncommon, common, and rare quests. 

In my opinion this battle pass is probably the best battle pass yet. I didn’t play Chapter One though, so I know I missed some good battle passes. My favorite character in this battle pass is Lara Croft. I am so happy they finally put in a legend of all video games. Lara Croft is such an old idea, but is still popular amongst people today. Chapter Two, Season Six goes until June 8 from March 17.

Epic Games has also introduced a new Battle Crew subscription towards the end of the last season (chapter two, season five). The Battle Crew costs $11.99 per month. The crew includes two skins, 1,000 vbucks, and the battle pass. If someone bought the battle pass before buying the battle crew,  the 950 vbucks will be refunded to the individual since they subscribed to the Battle Crew. The month of April’s character is Alli with her Squee Backbling and Skellyfish harvesting tool. She also comes along with a wrap called Cat’s Plan. The month of March’s character was Llegendary Llambro with his Up North Backbling, Puffcorn harvesting tool, and the Llegend Wrap. A wrap in fortnite is the skin for weapons, boats, and helicopters. May also has a Battle Crew Pack but it is currently still secret. When the end of April comes it will be revealed to the public for all of its players.
