The Galley is great for purchasing cheap food items. But it offers a lot more than food. The Galley has had clothing items and spirit wear throughout the entire school year and now they’re introducing a few new items for customers.
“We only have one item already made and available for sale,” Marketing teacher Judy Simmons said. “We haven’t tried to generate a lot of interest yet because there are others still in process.”
Sales for clothing at the Galley are generally low. Not many people want to purchase clothes during lunch time but, there are always a few people here and there that help remind everyone about these cool clothes and accessories.
“I don’t believe we’ve sold any yet, but we did sell a beanie yesterday which means people are starting to see what we have,” Simmons said.
Getting clothes some buzz is hard for the Galley since their most sold items are cookies and other food. They work on marketing for the clothing items since they are more expensive to make and are on the more expensive side of items for sale.
“It’s a slow stream throughout the year,” Simmons said.
Now is the chance for students to swoop by and see what’s for sale.
