Nick Saubers who teaches the Leadership class has his students working on numerous projects throughout the course of this semester. They create projects set for the classroom environment and even do projects for the school like helping with creating the set for the upcoming spring musical.
Sophomore Gyzell Whitehurst is one of the students who is taking one of the Leadership classes and expressed her thoughts on what leadership means to her.
“Leadership is taking initiative and confidence to step forward and assess what needs to be done to achieve greatness.”
Whitehurst also commented about how people should take initiative within any group.
“You contribute great ideas and listen to others. Make and establish rules, steps and plans for your group.”
She finished her statement on how she grew as a leader and where it came from.
“It is something that is built overtime,” Whitehurst said.
