From structure fires, staffing changes, and brand new policies, it’s well known that SCHS has something new everyday. Unlike those events, there is one thing that hasn’t changed in years. Our mascot Clyde who is well known for his large head and his unhinged behavior, has gotten a makeover this year.
“Other people that worked on it came together and we all decided that, we should change him to wear school colors instead of having red like St. Charles West,” said Jewel Underwood.
Keeping the theme was easy for the group.
“Not only did we change the colors but we also added a bandana that fits,” said Reagan Yarborough. “I found it a lot easier to work with the community, I also get to go faster with the design.”
After being offered to take the role by the activity department, freshman Logan Ruesch took that opportunity and seized his moment at the parade. Hiding under the mask he left students and teachers alike wondering who could be inside the costume.
“We honestly didn’t have to do much of anything,” said FACS teacher Elizabeth Laley. “Really that just gave away the suit and we just took what the activity department had and made it better.”
