Brian McCann is the newest addition to the teaching staff here at SCHS. However, McCann is no stranger to our school. For the past three years he has been here with the football team, helping to lead them to victory both on and off the field. This year he has taken on the role of both coach and teacher as he is the school’s newest math teacher.

Both inside and outside of school McCann loves coaching football and just sports in general. He also loves taking on the role of athlete when he plays various sports with his family.

“I coach football, so coaching sports, playing with my family, their sports, being involved with them, that’s kind of a big thing,” McCann said.

Now talking about inside of school, McCann says that he has had a very positive experience so far at SCHS. His students have been great and have been very engaged in his lessons. He gives credit for this to the new cell phone policy our school has recently adopted this year.

“I’ve really enjoyed it. The kids have been great. I’m enjoying the new cell phone policy. We’re seeing students engaging more in the lessons, but overall it’s been a really positive experience.”
