Sadie Kosciuk is the new JV volleyball coach at SCHS.

JV volleyball has a new coach this season, and coach Sadie Kosciuk has stepped up to the challenge. Sadie was born and raised in Winneconne, Wisconsin, and has lived in Missouri for four months. She’s been playing volleyball for 12 years and often attended camps with her sister. She likes the environment of the volleyball program and the girls she coaches around her.

“The most enjoyable thing is honestly [the] girls, [the players] coming in accepted me right away as a coach,” Kosciuk said.

Kosciuk also attends Lindenwood University and previously played for their volleyball team. She’s taking classes to become a special education teacher, and currently has a semester left. Her older sister has been a huge influence on her career choice because she has autism and Down syndrome.

“I wanna be able to fight for those kids and be able to work hard towards getting them the education that they want and the life they deserve,” Kosciuk said.

Coach Kosciuk has high hopes for this volleyball season and can’t wait to see where it goes.

Kosciuk said the players make coaching easier for her “because I know that we can at least have fun, but still get stuff done,” Kosciuk said.

I wanna be able to fight for those kids and be able to work hard towards getting them the education that they want and the life they deserve.
