New School, New Opportunities
Kimberly Stanley transitioning to being a proud Pirate
Despite being a new teacher at St. Charles High, Kimberly Stanley has been an educator for 12 years and doesn’t care to stop anytime soon. Her encouragement towards her students makes her a great fit for our school, and she is adjusting very well. Stanley teaches Special Education, and it’s no doubt that she belongs in the classroom leading her students.
“When I graduated college I was an English teacher, but then I got a job working in social services, so I did that for quite a while and then during that time I went back to school to get my special ed. certification.”
Stanley’s family helps her a lot with staying inspired and motivated, and the more the merrier.
“I’m married, this Halloween will be 12 years. I have three kids; 19, 21 and 27 and four step kids who are also grown.”
Stanley finds her job as a teacher important and well fitting thanks to the environment her school and her students provide. She enjoys helping students and feels like it is a great fit for her to be pursuing this as her career.
“I like more of the smaller classes, the one on one, the getting to really help the students and help them feel included in school and successful in school.”
