This year David Forbes, one of the history teachers, won teacher of the year. Forbes was very happy when he found out that he won teacher of the year. 

“I felt humbled, the teachers are great.. I feel like it’s a shared award,” Forbes said.

This is Forbes second year teaching here at SCHS and so far likes it a lot. He has said that he loves working with the teachers and his students. Everyone has had a really challenging year and Forbes has definitely made a lot of kids and his fellow teachers laugh and made it a little easier for his students. 

Forbes values his students a lot and loves the challenges he faces with them. Everyday is truly a challenge for both students and teachers especially with the year that everyone has had.

“I love it, everyday is a new challenge, everyday is a new challenge to grow with my students,” Forbes said.
