Staff Halloween Costumes

The staff of SCHSnow.com has decided to compile some of our own childhood costume memories, in celebration of Halloween.

When I was young, I was obsessed with the cartoons He-Man and She-Ra, so for Halloween 1986, I rocked the She-Ra costume.

When I was little my mom loved to dress my brother, my neighbors, and me up as a group costume. This was the first Halloween I remember I got to somewhat choose what I wanted to be and as a kindergartner a cowgirl was my first choice.

“I was five years old in this photo. I was Anakin Skywalker that year even though I had never seen Star Wars at the time, I just liked the lightsaber. I remember using the green lightsaber to hit people in the head over and over again even after my parents told me not to.”

My mom put me in a ladybug costume and I initially didn’t like it, but now that I look back on it, I think it’s pretty funny.

When I was younger, my favorite Halloween costume was this blue witch costume that had glittery spiderwebs on them; I wore it until I was 15 years old. It was my favorite costume because it was cute and my mom always told me I was so cute, and I felt fierce as heck!
