New social studies teacher, David Forbes, makes being new look easy. David Forbes is a Social Studies teacher that has been teaching for four years going from different schools and different districts, and this is his first year as a Pirate for St. Charles High School. David Forbes went to Pattonville High School where the principal of SCHS, Jeff Walker, was an Assistant Principal at Pattonville. Then after graduating from Pattonville, he went on to go to college.

“I went to college in three different places, I went to Harris-Stowe State University, then Central Michigan University,” Forbes said, “And I graduated from the University of Missouri- St. Louis.”

Forbes is very involved in his job.

“I am passionate about what I do. I have a deep care for hard headed people, including teenagers,” Forbes said. “So I am just here to help my students in anyway I possibly can.”

Forbes and his wife are expecting a new baby in December. However, when he is not focusing on other things, Forbes has many hobbies.

“I like to play basketball. I try to play it at least two times a week. I also like to read, and I like to play with my dog which I consider a career itself,” Forbes said. “I really need to find a new TV show to watch.”
