With the fall sports season slowly wrapping up, many freshmen have made a huge impact in all sorts of sports. Their impacts are made in different ways, from encouraging their teammates to give their all, to scoring touchdowns and points for their teams.

Being part of a high-level team really helps a student and allows them to receive many valuable life lessons. Being on varsity volleyball has pushed Brynn Genenbacher.

“I like the challenge of being on varsity,” she said. 

They also get to meet tons of new people and learn new things while working with other experienced players.

“It’s fun to play with higher level people,” she said.

Being on varsity as a freshman is no small thing. Not only are they making their team better, but they’re also getting so many awesome opportunities and experiences. Meredith Case puts a lot of effort into running inside and outside of practice.

“I really like it because it shows dedication and hard work,” Case said.

Being on varsity cross country also comes with many perks like team friendships. Case loves how well her teammates treat her and work together. 

“I love it because our team bonds a lot and when there’s older people they can take care of you,” Case said.

Being on varsity especially as a freshman comes with many struggles. Being on varsity football has been exciting, but also hard for Landon Noah. 

“It’s pretty fun, but sometimes the people are bigger than me,” Noah said.
