Tremanye Williams has recently joined the staff for the 2025-2026 school year as ISS teacher, but he is also the assistant varsity basketball coach. Before he was at St. Charles High school, he coached recreational level basketball with middle school.
“Then I got my first opportunity as a JV Girls Coach, and then my last stop was head high school boys coach for five years,” Williams said.
Williams worked at Hillcrest High School as a JV Girls Coach, then after that he took a head coach position at Exeter high school.
“ I started coaching basketball while I was in college at age 21. I am 33 now,” Williams said.
Williams has been in the coaching game for 12 years, and is excited about the benefits of a larger school that is familiar to him.
“The opportunity of being in a bigger district and I also have family here, I have two sons,” Williams said.
Williams hopes to become a basketball coach or an athletic director someday at a school, but for now he likes to hit the golf course.
“My favorite activity right now is golf,” Williams said.
