FCCLA stands for Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America and is known for their charity work and events like coffee Friday, turkey drive, charcuterie boxes, and hot dinner/ lunches.
Members enjoy the community service aspects of the club.
“Being able to help people directly,” Martin-Pope said.
FCCLA is a widely joined group throughout our high school, but very few people understand just what they are signing up for. FCCLA also travels for competitive events in many categories like Fashion Design, Early Childhood Education, Culinary Arts, Entrepreneurship, and Nutrition.
Member Charlotte Hendrix feels her favorite part of the club are the experiences.
“Meeting new people and going to FCCLA events,” says Charlotte Hendrix.
