Before kicking off HOSA’s events for the school year, the club needs officers to keep organized and efficient. After the club took time to vote for their officers, the results came in.
President Hannah Blair hopes promoting HOSA will better improve the club.
“I would like to better promote HOSA, so more people can hear about this club,” Blair said.
HOSA is looking for new members.
“People who are into the medical [field] or planning on getting into the medical [field] should join,” said vice President Maddie Harmon. HOSA offers many opportunities for students who plan on pursuing a medical career.
HOSA hosts many events like presenters during AIP, blood drives, and field trips for the club members.
“A typical meeting involves us looking at the agenda, then we usually discuss topics on that agenda, and figure out what things we are going to talk about during future meetings,” Secretary Malia Jones said.
Being in HOSA can cost money, with field trip fees and sign up fees.
HOSA plans to “raise money for the club,” Sabrina Villar said.
HOSA focuses on opportunities for our future healthcare workers.
“Our goal is to fundraise and gain money to help prepare the next generation of healthcare workers,” Rosie Kuegele said.
