Principal Jeff Walker explained that Missouri law requires seniors to take the course.

“You just never know when you are going to need to use this,” Walker said.

Walker also explained what the seniors do in the crash course.

“The big idea is to have every senior graduate with some sort of life saving training. They focus on the pumping of the chest because that’s what really keeps someone who cannot breathe alive,” Walker said.

Senior John Kelly, thinks the CPR crash course would be unuseful in the future and thinks it should not be mandatory.

“I don’t think I will ever be in a situation where I will need to know CPR,” Kelly said.
Senior Jared Budde thinks that the CPR training course was very helpful. He mentioned that this summer he will be around water a lot so this will be very handy.
