During the first FCA meeting Bryten Kendrick and other members write down how to show Christ throughout the school. While comforted in the silence, they thought of the question asked.
Excitement has been set in after the first FCA meeting on September 30, 2024, at St. Charles high school. FCA – fellowship of Christian athletes is when students come in from different backgrounds and all share one thing in common, their beliefs.
“We really do want to make sure that kids feel welcome to come to the club no matter what,” sponsor Sadie Kosciuksaid.
FCA president Noah Case feels FCA is more than just a club for students. For him specifically when his past youth group was weakening he attended FCA and found a new home.
During AIP president of FCA Noah Case shows how he can be proactive and keep focus. He was showing Christ through his in school actions.
It allowed him “to have somewhere to go and get involved in,” Case said.
FCA has been around for a long time all throughout different schools, they are hoping to grow in numbers as it continues on. Kosicuk has really stressed to others that the FCA isn’t just for athletes but for anyone look for a place to connect with and learn more.
They meet every other Monday either in the library or Kosicuk’s room. To applaud them, they are constantly trying to get more members by mentioning it at practices, social media posts, and more.
