Breanne Martin is a Renaissance member who helped plan the snowcoming dance that was held Jan. 8  from 2-4 p.m. for students with special needs. She was very happy with the outcome of the dance.

“I thought it went really well,” Martin said. “It was so cool to see kids that you don’t normally see around.”

Gracie Wrinkle is also a Renaissance member who thought the dance was a success.

“I think it went really well. Years in the past, there weren’t as many people and this year we had so many kids,” Wrinkle said.

The Commons was full of 45-50 kids for the dance.

Martin mentioned that she wouldn’t change anything about this year’s dance because there were so many kids. She said that the turnout was better than last year and hopes that next year will be just as good.

Wrinkle also mentioned that, after voting, there will be a special needs prom in mid-spring. Wrinkle hopes for as many people to come to the prom as they did the snowcoming.

Dominick Schubert is a student who had a great time at the dance.

“Yeah it was a lot of fun,” Schubert said.

Schubert also thinks that the dance went really well.

“I think it went just fine,” Schubert said.

Schubert mentioned that he may attend the prom, but is not sure yet.
